  • Presented by Dr Nadya Chami (Gynaecologist)

    Dr Chami will discuss:

    • Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause

    • Common symptoms and why they occur

    • Medical management options

    • Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

    • Risks, benefits and common misconceptions

    • When to seek further support

  • Presented by our Women’s Health Physiotherapy Team

    Our Women’s Health Physios will explore:

    • Bladder changes, leaks and urgency

    • Vaginal dryness, discomfort and pain with intercourse

    • Pelvic floor changes during menopause

    • Exercise and strength training for bone health

    • Practical strategies to support healthy ageing and maintain confidence and function

  • Presented by Tom Kelton (Chinese Medicine Practitioner)

    Tom will discuss:

    • How acupuncture may support menopause symptoms including hot flushes, sleep disturbance and stress

    • Nervous system regulation during times of hormonal change

    • Integrating Chinese Medicine with conventional healthcare approaches

    Tom will also facilitate an optional group acupuncture session for attendees interested in experiencing acupuncture in a calm and supportive setting.

    We will also be offering 8-minute pelvic floor assessments using Real Time Ultrasound. This is a non-invasive way of assessing your pelvic floor function where the ultrasound probe is placed over your abdominal wall to look down into your bladder and pelvic floor underneath.

We will be offering optional 8-minute pelvic floor assessments using Real Time Ultrasound. This is a non-invasive way of assessing your pelvic floor function where the ultrasound probe is placed over your abdominal wall to look down into your bladder and pelvic floor underneath.

We will assess whether you can contract & relax your pelvic floor, your pelvic floor endurance and your co-ordination. You will receive a score card to take home!
